Rae Sremmurd put the strip club on wheels in the video for their collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Young Thug, “Throw Sum Mo.”
The song’s title provides an accurate description of what’s happening: Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy walk around the floor of a roller rink filled with half-naked women on roller skates, unleashing wads of cash on their oscillating rear ends. Minaj, wearing a striking pink jacket, stands guard in the middle of the dancefloor: she’s some kind of managerial figure.

While Swae and Slim are distributing money, Minaj is collecting it back from the strippers and handing it out to Migos, who are standing ostentatiously by the bar. Together they create a tidy ecosystem of financial redistribution—essentially, Rae Sremmurd are passing bills to Migos through Nicki Minaj’s roller skate stripper money-laundering service.
A few minutes in, a van appears on the dancefloor: a suicide door swings open, and Young Thug appears on top of it, flanked by Birdman. You probably won’t see this much rap starpower in one place until the VMAs.
“Throw Sum Mo” comes off of Rae Sremmurd’s recent album Sremmlife.
