Young Thug‘s Carter 6 was gonna be out tomorrow, ahead of its supposed predecessor, Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter V. Then two things happened.

First, Thugga announced that the album title had been changed to Barter 6 after threats of a lawsuit from Weezy’s camp. Unsurprisingly.

Then, today (April 16), after the album leaked in full, Young Thug pulled another surprise: he put up the album a day early on iTunes and for streaming on Spotify.

The 13-song release features two guest spots from Cash Money head/current Lil Wayne enemy Birdman (it all makes sense now…), along with T.I. and Boosie on third track “Can’t Tell.”

London on da Track contributes production on multiple songs.

It’s considered the debut studio album from Young Thug, whose previous releases included digital albums and mixtapes, the most recent being September 2014’s Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1 with Birdman and Rich Homie Quan.

Still no word on when its predecessor Carter V is coming out, by the way.
